At 8 months, it’s just nice to look at how much you’ve changed.
- You are definitely Chinese looking now. There is no doubt anymore that you have your daddy’s eyes, very chinita.
- Your skin now is much fairer, just like daddy’s. It doesn’t seem you’ll be getting my morena skin.
When you laugh, you become my exact carbon copy. It’s just amazing that your face becomes an exact replica of mine one second and then your dad’s the next. - You have a very long hair for a baby. We can actually fix your hair into pigtails and not have any hair fall out of the clip. So cute!
- You can push yourself now to stand on your own, supported by your crib. You enjoy standing so much that you cry if we force you to lie down or sit down.
- Your taste in entertainment has now changed. If before I can get your attention by just singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”, now I can’t seem to steer you away from watching tv! Your eyes are so glued on it that even if I scream myself hoarse calling your name, you won’t even bother to look at me (hehe).
- You prefer playing with guys than girls. A case in point, if I give you a gigil kiss, you would shout angrily and scratch me on the face. But if your daddy does that, you laugh with glee! (hmp!) Even between your Ingkong and Loli Onggay, you clearly prefer your grandpa over your grandma. For instance, even if your Loli makes goofy faces to you all day, you will only as much as crack a smile. But with your Ingkong, just seeing him is enough to drive you to giggles!
- You cry more now if you don’t get what you want (much like mommy! Hehe). You’re not really an iyakin baby but if you’re sleepy and we don’t give you the thing you like to play with (e.g. remote control, cellphone), you cry (although for just a second).
- You now have a “talent”. When we tell you “Shampoo, shampoo”, you will shake your head from side to side parang shampoo commercial sa tv. You also respond now to shake hands and appear. Until now though I’m still trying to teach you how to make beautiful eyes.
- You seem to enjoy being dressed up. Even if I make you wear super sikip peasant blouses (na nakalitaw na tyan mo and yun garter sa sleeves nakabakat na sa arms mo), you don’t cry or look uncomfortable. I sure hope this will be the case until you’re all grown because I love dressing you in such adorable and fashionable outfits regardless if uncomfortable siya. Hehe. I just love seeing you all cute and girly.
