Bhei Launch...Finally!

I have finally posted the photos of the accessories I designed in the web! At long last, after 10 years...hehe. The photos aren't really too great considering I was the one who took them but they came out passable enough that I can share the link to my friends for their comments and their friends' comments. It was so nice lang sweetie that I got very positive feedback. I am not sure if only because they are my friends or what...hehe, but then their friends also said good things about my design so I guess I am doing something right here. And guess what, I actually have orders na! Although I am still hesitant to officially accept them kasi wala pa price list (hehe). My initial purpose naman for posting the photos is to get feedback muna from people so I can have an idea on the kind of design that will be most sellable.

Oh my sweets, I really wish and pray I can make something out of this accessory thingie. I actually already sent your Tita Lori the link to the photos so she can show these to her potential buyer in Melbourne. Sana, sana, sana talaga...I'm keeping my fingers crossed here. Hopefully din your Tita Queena and I can soon make arrangement on how we can market these in the States. Haaaay....sana, sana. Wish me luck my baby!

(To my blog friends, here's the link to all the photos >> http://www.flickr.com/photos/19458125@N00/. Feel free to share these to your friends as I want to get as many comments as I can. :D )

8 Months

Happy 8th Month Birthday sweetie pie! Time does fly so fast that in just 4 months, you’ll be turning 1 year old! Seeing you grow from an infant to an almost toddler triggers mixed emotions in me. Looking at you now, I am still amazed at the thought that you actually came out of my tummy some 8 months ago! I am so happy and thankful seeing you’ve grown healthy, smart and more beautiful by the day. I am anxious though as you grow older, you’ll be more and more independent, needing your mommy dearest less and less and before I know it, you’re off to pre-school and I’ll be forced to let you go, explore and discover new things without me by your side every second!

At 8 months, it’s just nice to look at how much you’ve changed.

  • You are definitely Chinese looking now. There is no doubt anymore that you have your daddy’s eyes, very chinita.
  • Your skin now is much fairer, just like daddy’s. It doesn’t seem you’ll be getting my morena skin.
When you laugh, you become my exact carbon copy. It’s just amazing that your face becomes an exact replica of mine one second and then your dad’s the next.
  • You have a very long hair for a baby. We can actually fix your hair into pigtails and not have any hair fall out of the clip. So cute!
  • You can push yourself now to stand on your own, supported by your crib. You enjoy standing so much that you cry if we force you to lie down or sit down.
  • Your taste in entertainment has now changed. If before I can get your attention by just singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”, now I can’t seem to steer you away from watching tv! Your eyes are so glued on it that even if I scream myself hoarse calling your name, you won’t even bother to look at me (hehe).
  • You prefer playing with guys than girls. A case in point, if I give you a gigil kiss, you would shout angrily and scratch me on the face. But if your daddy does that, you laugh with glee! (hmp!) Even between your Ingkong and Loli Onggay, you clearly prefer your grandpa over your grandma. For instance, even if your Loli makes goofy faces to you all day, you will only as much as crack a smile. But with your Ingkong, just seeing him is enough to drive you to giggles!
  • You cry more now if you don’t get what you want (much like mommy! Hehe). You’re not really an iyakin baby but if you’re sleepy and we don’t give you the thing you like to play with (e.g. remote control, cellphone), you cry (although for just a second).
  • You now have a “talent”. When we tell you “Shampoo, shampoo”, you will shake your head from side to side parang shampoo commercial sa tv. You also respond now to shake hands and appear. Until now though I’m still trying to teach you how to make beautiful eyes.
  • You seem to enjoy being dressed up. Even if I make you wear super sikip peasant blouses (na nakalitaw na tyan mo and yun garter sa sleeves nakabakat na sa arms mo), you don’t cry or look uncomfortable. I sure hope this will be the case until you’re all grown because I love dressing you in such adorable and fashionable outfits regardless if uncomfortable siya. Hehe. I just love seeing you all cute and girly.
And the list of traits and changes I see in you goes on and on, for everyday I always learn something new about you. Being a mom is fulfilling that way. To actually witness you transform into an individual with your own personality and way of thinking, and be one of the two biggest influence at that, is so amazing a thought. Truly it is a journey I immensely enjoy, with every aspect of it I fully embrace and look forward to.

8 Weird Things About Your Mom

I have been tagged by a blog pal to write a blog post with (8) weird things/habits about yourself. I have so many weird habits but I was able to cut them down into 8 and here goes the list:

  1. I always have to be wearing pajamas at bedtime (and it has to be the long pants type). Otherwise, I have difficult time sleeping. And on top of this, I need to wear my pajama top tucked. Why? Kasi if not tucked, pwedeng mataas yun top ko and my back gets exposed to the electric fan or aircon and I hate that feeling (or pwede rin because I’m scared of getting pneumonia! Hahaha). Your dad hates this particular habit because he finds my look at night so unsexy! I have never even worn lingerie! Always pajamas! (TRIVIA: Even during our honeymoon, I was wearing this long-sleeved pajamas with a picture of cartoonish cow at the center. So sexy noh? Hahaha. I may be revealing too much here but wala lang, gusto ko lang i-share. Hehe.)
  2. In relation to number 1, if I’m in a place where it’s really cold, I normally wear socks. And when I wear socks, my pajama bottom will have to be tucked rin sa socks ko. Reason? Kasi I don’t want my legs getting exposed to the cold weather. You might ask, why don’t I just use a blanket to cover my legs? Hmmm…I don’t know. Hehe.
  3. Everytime I eat nilagang baka or tinola that comes with potatoes or sayote, I always need to mash in the potatoes or sayote with my rice. Why? So it’s faster to eat. I won’t need to cut the vegetables everytime I take a bite.
  4. I hate it when other people use my towels. This includes even your dad. Why? Because I don’t like the idea of wiping my face with a towel knowing someone else used it for wiping God-knows-what part of his or her body.
  5. I used to always sleep on the right side of the bed. I just sleep more soundly on that side. But now that I am married and your dad also likes to sleep on this side, I have to adjust and try to embrace the left side of the bed (which I soooo hate).
  6. I always need to drink a glass of water before going to bed. And I mean immediately right before going to bed. If I don’t, I would feel something is missing and wouldn’t get myself to sleep.
  7. Right before going to sleep, I need to turn on the tv first. Basta, no matter how late it is, I need to still turn on the tv and channel surf even for just a few seconds. If I don’t get to do that it will take me longer than usual to fall asleep.
  8. I can never, never sleep without washing my face first. Even if I am in the verge of passing out (either out of sleepiness or drunkenness), I absolutely have to wash my face first. I just can’t take that icky feeling of an unwashed face so I do have to wash it first if I want to get a good night sleep.

Most likely sweetie, by the time you read this, even if you're all grown up I still exhibit these habits. Just check me out at night if I still wear my pajamas like a geek (high waist, tucked! hahaha) :D

And I am sure you will find yourself now having weird habits yourself. Remember there's nothing wrong with being weird at times. These habits only set us apart from other people and make us all the more unique individuals. So, don't be embarassed about them because for sure every person you meet has some sort of weird aspect to their personalities. It's not just you. It's always never just you.
