Sweetie, last night marked one of your biggest achievements so far. Because at long last, after months of singing and acting out “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” to you, you finally acted out the “Like a diamond in the sky” portion of the song! You actually lifted your hands in the air and shaped your thumbs and forefingers into a triangle! Wooooohooo! Your dad and I were so happy to see you do that because it just shows how much you’ve grown, not just physically but also mentally. What’s even cuter is after you did that, you clapped your hands wildly and gleefully laughed as if showing us you yourself know that you just achieved a great milestone. You are truly oh-so-cute!Haaaay my dear Bea…you have truly grown so much the past months. You are now 11 months old, 17 days shy away from turning 1. It’s as if just yesterday I held you the first time in my arms. You were so tiny, so fragile. But now, you are an almost toddler, so fat, so tall, with long hair, big teeth and if before I am very careful when picking you up, now puwede na kita ibalibag sa kama! Bwahaha. You couldn’t blame me really for doing this kasi you are so bigat, I swear, to the point that my arms shake na from carrying you and my back aches! Hehehe.
Just to prove how much you’ve changed the past months, here are just some trivia about you at this age:
- You now have 4 upper teeth and 3 lower teeth. And if before its size is like that of the hamster’s, now it’s really big! As in when you smile, all your malalaking teeth are showing na!
- Your hair is now longer, one length. You can now wear a headband without getting irritated.
- You are so fat! When you were 9 months, you kinda slimmed down but now at 11 months, you went back to your Michelin look. As in tabaching-ching! And we think this could be also attributed to the fact that you are being medicated for primary complex so as a result you gained weight.
- You now can appreciate shows like Dora the Explorer, Blue’s Clues, Backyardigans, Mr. Bean. As in now, you can actually sit still and stare at the TV, with matching reaction from you which makes it seems that you understand what you are watching. You so love Dora! Just seeing a picture of her drives you to laughter! Siguro kasi nakakamukha mo na si Dora!
- You can actually call us out now, me, your dad and yayi. You call me “mommy”, your daddy “dada” and your yaya “yayi”. As in when yayi walks by, you shout “Yayi” as if beckoning her. And even your loli’s kasama “Manang Amy” you could now call by her first name “Amy!”. So smart!
- Any rectangular shaped object you get your hands to, you would always pretend it to be a phone. And everytime I say “Hello Daddy!” or “Call Daddy!”, you would always put your hand on your ear as if really talking to your dad.
- You can now imitate Kris Aquino’s “Deal or no Deal” hand gesture.
- Your love for animals is now evident. You always cry for yayi to take you out of Loli’s house so you can look at Toni the dog. You also enjoy watching the askal cat that always goes to our house and play with stuffed animals.
- You can now take a few steps (but still holding on to something). Although last night, you tried walking inside your crib without holding on to the rail. Hopefully, you’ll be able to walk independently by your 1st birthday kasi hindi na talaga kita kaya kargahin. Baka sa party mo, I will just let you crawl on the floor as I entertain your guests! Bwehe.
- You enjoy playing na with other kids like your Kuya Lui and Ate Sabs. And in fact, you not only play with them, you also can now bully them! Mana kay mommy! :D
- You now know how to give a kiss.
